2017 Movies We’re Excited to See

There are so many movies coming out in 2017, the majority of which we are very eager to see. We decided it would be nice of us to let you in on all the good news. Whether you need your regular dose of Ryan Gosling, or you just need a good thriller to cuddle up to boyfy with, we’ve got something for everyone.

Here are the 2017 movies we’re excited to see in the first half of the year:

Underworld: Blood Wars

The movie was originally meant to have been released on October of 2016, but the producers of Underworld: Blood Wars are really making you wait. In America the release date is January 6th.

We’re super excited to see Kate Beckinsale reprise her role as Selene, and it’s the directors directorial debut – Anna Foerster. There’s plenty of eye candy too, just in case you were wondering, although we’re super excited at the thought of seeing some more of Theo James, who’s currently the face of the Hugo Boss fragrance.

Fifty Shades Darker

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Fifty Shades Darker is the second movie to bring Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) and Mr. Grey (Jamie Dornan) together. It’s guaranteed to be a steamy ride, if the first movie and all the books are anything to go by, also bringing back Rita Ora in her role as Mia Grey.

Also starring Kim Basinger, Luke Grimes, and Eric Johnson, we’re very excited for this one, and to make things even more thrilling, they filmed scenes for the third movie, Fifty Shades Freed, right after and that’s due to come at the beginning of 2018. It’s one of the naughtier 2017 movies, that’s for sure.

Tulip Fever

With the likes of Judi Dench and Zack Galifianakis, Tulip Fever promises to be a decent watch, slightly more serious than the two we’ve already shown you. Due for release at the end of February, 2017, it’s set in 17th Century Netherlands and is a movie adaptation of a book. That’s always bound to get tongues wagging.

And if you wanted your slice of eye candy, the kid from In Treatment, Dane DeHaan, is in it.

Coming out in March of 2017, Logan is a drama superhero movie bringing back Hugh Jackman’s amazing (and totally hot) character, Wolverine. It’s basically the tenth X-Men movies. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, and Stephen Merchant, among many others.

T2: Trainspotting

It doesn’t matter whether or not you were a Trainspotting fan, it’s one of the most iconic movies of our generation, and the eagerly-awaited second installment has got people up and down the country going nuts.

Bringing back our favorite characters from the first movie, it’s set twenty years after the first one, showing how them and their lives have changed. It’s worth it to see Ewan McGregor bringing back Mark Renton, and to remind us to make good life choices this year!

Table 19

We’ve been waiting for a Friends reunion for years now, and it doesn’t appear to be happening at any point soon. You can get your dose of Lisa Kudrow action in this comedy movie, one of the 2017 movies to come out in March.

Table 19 also stars Anna Kendrick (as the lead role), and Amanda Crew, Stephen Merchant (again!), Wyatt Russell, and more in the movie that follows a wedding guest’s journey after she learns she’s been sat at the table with all the other people the bride and groom didn’t really want to invite …

Kong: Skull Island

Another monster film that the boys will love, it’s going to star Tom Hiddleston, which is how we know you’re going to love it too. It had a pretty impressive budget of almost $200 million, so the special effects are going to be awesome, and you’ll also find John Goodman, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brie Larson in the cast list.

This one on the list of 2017 movies looks like it might be hilarious, a 3D-animated tale with the voices of Lisa Kudrow (again), Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Buscemi from the Adam Sandler movies, and Alex Baldwin.

We’ve all been at the receiving end of bullies at some point in our lives, and maybe we should have a box of tissues handy for when we settle down to watch this one.
